Crema ("we", "us", or "our"), developed by Flipping Leaf LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the Crema iOS application and this website (collectively, the "Service").
Crema is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not require an account, we do not collect your name or email address, and your pours, scores, and journal entries are stored locally on your iPhone — not on any server we own. The two exceptions are described in full below: AI analysis and subscription processing.
The following data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's local file system. It is never uploaded to Flipping Leaf servers:
This data remains on your device until you delete the app, at which point it is removed entirely.
When you submit a pour for analysis, the image or video frames you selected are transmitted over an encrypted connection to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This is required to generate your score and Critical Fix feedback.
Anthropic processes this data under their own Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. We recommend reviewing their policies at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not store the images on our own servers — they are transmitted directly to Anthropic and the resulting text feedback is returned to your device.
If you subscribe to Crema Pro, your subscription is managed through Apple's in-app purchase system. We use RevenueCat to verify and manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives a non-personally-identifiable device identifier and your subscription status from Apple. No payment card details are shared with RevenueCat or with us — all payment processing is handled entirely by Apple.

Crema may request permission to send you local push notifications — for example, a streak reminder or your monthly Coach's Brief. These notifications are scheduled on-device and are not sent from a server. No notification content is transmitted to or from our servers. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
Crema does not include any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking of any kind. We do not track how you use the app, which screens you visit, or how long you use it.
Crema is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us and we will take steps to address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Modified" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
